In Year 9 your son/daughter will start or choose the subjects that he/she will study on into Year 10 and Year 11. In Year 9 students develop even more of the skills/attitudes for learning at GCSE level.

Year 10

This year, you will focus on your preparation for your GCSE courses. Work Experience provides valuable preparation for life beyond school and the adult world. You will be given a taste of the experience of sitting formal examinations in the Summer Term Mocks session. Many of you will successfully apply to take on additional responsibilities in departments in the Summer Term and into Year 11 as Senior Students.

Year 11

The final year! Senior Students have additional responsibilities in departments and the School Council will include Head Boy and Head Girl in your year group. This is the year you consolidate all the skills and knowledge you have developed over the last 4 years and focus on achieving your very best. More practice for the Summer exams takes place, with Mock exams in November and February/March. Intensive study and revision workshops, additional holiday masterclasses and drop-down days focused on core subjects will ensure you have every opportunity to achieve. Finally... The Leaver's Prom.
